Dr Pilarinos has a doctorate in research psychology. She works with adults, children and teenagers. She has worked in treating depression, anxiety, phobias as well as teaching emotional regulation and assertiveness skills and improving self-image. She has experience working with children with behavioural difficulties and their parents as well as working individually and in group settings.

Her approach centers around CBT techniques as well as using dialectical therapy tools. Dr Pilarinos works with clients to establish and reach goals regarding their emotional and social well-being. She fosters a empowered therapeutic relationship to encourage and guide the client to use adaptive ways of dealing with difficult life situations and replace unhealthy patterns of thinking and acting with efficient and positive coping tools.
